Jansen Harkins recorded an assist in Thursday’s contest. The forward has tallied 43 points (21G, 22A) through 39 games and moved into a tie for second on the Moose alongside Declan Chisholm. Harkins, a second round pick of Winnipeg in 2015, has notched new career-high numbers in goals, points, game-winning markers and shots. The forward, who has 195 games of AHL experience under his belt, is two goals away from reaching 50 in his Moose career and is two assists shy of his career-high of 24 that he registered in 2019-20.
Greg’s Goal
Greg Meireles scored his first power play marker of the campaign last night against Grand Rapids. Meireles finished the 2021-22 campaign with three tallies on the power play. Two of his four career power play markers are against the Griffins. The pivot is now up to 16 points (8G, 8A) through 57 games and has 43 points (13G, 30A) in his AHL career, split between Syracuse and Manitoba. The Ottawa, Ont. product has three game-winning goals, which is a new career-high mark, and places him in a four-way tie for fourth on the club. Meireles also holds a career-best 12.5% shooting percentage.

The Moose play their final home game of the regular season tonight. The club enters the proceedings with a mark of 18-13-1-3. All-time the Moose hold a record of 11-11-0 in their final home game of the campaign in Winnipeg. Manitoba has wins in the final home game of the season in two consecutive campaigns, including a 6-0 win against Abbotsford to wrap up the 2021-22 home schedule. The Moose seek to break out of a five-game losing streak on home ice. The team has not lost six straight (L/OTL) on home ice in Winnipeg in the franchise’s AHL era.
