Lucius Unleashed
Chaz Lucius notched a power play assist on Tuesday against Chicago. Lucius, a 2021 first round Winnipeg selection, has tallied three assists in two contests to record his 10th helper of the campaign. The pivot has three multi-point outings under his belt and is the fourth Moose skater this season to hit the double-digit assist plateau. Lucius has matched his goal and power play marker totals from the past season and has tallied 12 points (2G, 10A) in 15 games. The centreman is also tied with Jeff Malott for the team lead with four assists in the month of December.
On a Roll
Parker Ford scored a second period power play goal in Manitoba’s most recent game. It’s the first time in his professional career that Ford has scored in consecutive games, following his goal on Sunday against Milwaukee. The winger is also riding a career-high, three-game point streak and has notched three points (2G, 1A) in that span. With 10 points (5G, 5A) on the season, the former Providence College forward is the seventh antlered skater to achieve double-digit points. He also ranks fourth among the club’s rookies in points.
Keep Pushing
Wyatt Bongiovanni scored against the Wolves on Tuesday. The goal was the forward’s eighth of the season, which ties him for second on the squad and places him one off the team lead. Bongiovanni has registered 15 points (8G, 7A) in 21 contests and is closing in on his previous career-high of 18 points (13G, 5A) he achieved in 2022-23. The winger also paces the Moose this season with four markers on the power play, which is one shy of his career-high. Bongiovanni, who inked a two-year entry-level contract with Winnipeg in 2022, remains the only Moose skater this season to record at least one power play, shorthanded and game-winning tally.
Jones Knows
Nicholas Jones tallied a first period goal in Chicago. The forward, who was re-signed to a two-year contract with Manitoba in 2022, has four points (1G, 3A) over his past five contests. The Edmonton, Alta. product has six points (3G, 3A) this season and Tuesday’s goal matched his total from the 2022-23 campaign in 56 less games. Jones, who suited up in his 250th AHL contest on Tuesday, is closing in on 100 career AHL points, recording 90 points (31G, 59A) over his tenure.

Dmitry Kuzmin recorded an assist against Chicago on Tuesday. The defenceman, a 2021 third round Winnipeg pick, has tallied assists in consecutive contests for his first AHL point streak. Prior to his stint in Manitoba, Kuzmin posted two points (1G, 1A) in 11 ECHL games with Norfolk including scoring his first North American professional goal Nov. 5/23.
