The Moose roll in on a three-game winning streak, while the Wranglers are 7-3-0 in their past 10 games. Jeff Malott led the way last weekend with four points (2G, 2A) in two games, while Collin Delia stopped 50 of the 53 shots he faced in the Moose net. Manitoba and Calgary split their previous two-game set back on opening weekend. Coverage of tonight's 8 p.m. CT contest begins at 7:45 p.m. CT on CJOB.com/sports, the Winnipeg Jets App and AHLTV.

Points on the Board

Dean Stewart recorded an assist on Sunday against the IceHogs. The defenceman has posted assists in consecutive contests, which represents his longest point streak of the campaign. Stewart, who re-signed a one-year contract with Manitoba in 2023, was also a plus-two rating in all three games of Manitoba’s current winning streak. Stewart, who was named Manitoba’s 2023 Rookie of the Year, has recorded 29 points (2G, 27A) in 95 total contests over his Moose career.

Dealing Between the Pipes

Collin Delia posted two wins against the Rockford IceHogs this past weekend. On Friday, the netminder allowed two goals on 33 shots for a .939 save percentage. The goaltender followed that performance up with a 19-save win on Sunday where he only allowed a single goal against and posted a .950 save percentage. Delia has registered a 6-5-0 record, alongside a 3.33 goals-against average and a .881 save percentage in his time with the Moose.

Check the Stats

Manitoba enters the contest against Calgary on a three-game winning streak. Over that span, the Moose haven’t allowed more than a pair of goals against. Overall, when the Moose are able to hold their opponents to two goals or less, the team has a combined record of 7-0-0-0, with four of those wins coming on the road. Scoring at least three goals is the sweet spot for Manitoba, with the club pitching a 5-1-0-0 record, including 3-0-0-0 on the road. Manitoba comes into tonight’s game previously playing on Sunday. When the Moose have four or more days off between games, two skaters lead the way statistically. The forward ranks are paced by Nikita Chibrikov, who has six points (2G, 4A), while the defence is led by Kyle Capobianco, who also has six points (2G, 4A) to his credit.

Scoring Threat

Wyatt Bongiovanni scored a second period tally in the Moose weekend win. The forward, who inked a two-year entry-level deal with Winnipeg in 2022, has four points (3G, 1A) over his past three games and has found the back of the net in three straight. Bongiovanni has tallied 12 points (6G, 6A) through 16 games and is six points away from matching his 56-game 2022-23 rookie totals. The forward is currently tied for third among Moose skaters in goals and sits fifth in points. In addition, the winger leads the Moose with four power play markers and is tied for ninth in the AHL with goals on the man-advantage.
