The Moose open a nine-game home stand by welcoming the red-hot Milwaukee Admirals to Canada Life Centre. Manitoba has the benefit of a week off game action following a gruelling five-game in seven-day stretch. The Moose are 14-3-0-1 on home ice this season and look to take advantage of their longest stint in friendly territory. Home for a Rest
The Moose face the Milwaukee Admirals at Canada Life Centre to kick off a nine-game stand running from Feb. 20 to Mar. 12. It’s the longest home stand of the season for the Moose sees the club take on Milwaukee, Chicago, Rockford and Belleville. Manitoba is a sparkling 14-3-0-1 at home this season and are led by a pair of defencemen. Leon Gawanke, who paces the team in scoring with 23 points and has 12 points (2G, 10A) at home. Not to be outdone is Gawanke’s defence partner, Declan Chisholm, who has 12 of his 17 points, including five goals, at Canada Life Centre. Greg Meireles (1G, 9A) and Cole Maier (4G 6A) lead the forward ranks in points on home ice.
Follow the Captain
Moose captain Jimmy Oligny is picking up the production, recording assists in two straight contests as well as three points (1G, 2A) in his last four games played. Oligny’s goal against the Texas Stars on Feb. 8 served as his fourth of the season and the defenceman’s first career professional overtime winner. The tally also matched Oligny’s previous career-high which he achieved back in the 2019-20 season with Manitoba. The defenceman, who has 11 points (4G, 7A) this year, is within striking range of his career-high of 16 points which he set during the 2019-20 campaign.
Moving and Shaking
The Moose come into tonight’s matchup with a some additions to their roster. On Feb. 17. goaltender Philippe Desrosiers was recalled from the Trois-Rivieres Lions of the ECHL. Desrosiers has suited up in two games for the Moose this season. The netminder has a record of 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .969 save percentage. The Moose also brought in two players on professional tryouts. Tristan Langan returns for his second stint with the Moose. The Portage la Prairie, Man. product already suited up in two games for the Manitoba this season. The Moose also brought in Nick Hutchison on a professional tryout. The forward has recorded 42 points (16G, 26A) in 31 games with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. Finally, the Winnipeg Jets reassigned David Gustafsson to the Moose. The forward has 16 points (7G, 9A) in 23 games with Manitoba this year.
Spectacular Sunday
The Moose find themselves playing many of their contests on Sunday. That suits Declan Chisholm (4G, 3A) and Leon Gawanke (7A) just fine, as the pair have combined for 14 points and led the team on the Sunday. The forwards are paced by Greg Meireles who has six points (1G, 5A) in 11 Sunday contests, while Jeff Malott, Cole Perfetti (on recall) and Chisholm lead the squad in Sunday goal-scoring with four apiece.

Greg Meireles notched his 18th assist of the season in Manitoba’s 5-2 loss on Feb. 12. Meireles is riding a two-game point streak that has seen the forward record two assists in that span. The forward is up to 21 points (3G, 18A) in 40 games in his AHL rookie season. Those 18 assists are also tops on the Moose.
