Ma-LOTT of Assists
Forward Jeff Malott racked up three assists in the first period of Friday’s game. The trio of helpers set a new single-game career high for Malott. It also matched a single-game career high in points for the forward as the third three-point effort of his career. Malott jumped to 18 assists on the season which matches his career high set in 62 games last season. The Waterdown, Ont. native also reached 99 points (57G, 42A) in 157 games in his AHL career, all with the Moose. If he hits 100 career points, Malott will be the 40th player in Moose history to reach the mark.
Keeping Positive
The defence pairing of Dean Stewart and Simon Lundmark was on the ice for four of Manitoba’s six goals on Friday. The duo each recorded a plus-four rating, setting a new single-game career high for both defenders. Lundmark holds a plus-five rating on the season, while Stewart is a plus-four. Stewart also posted two assists in the first period, marking his second multi-point period and game of the season. The Portage la Prairie, Man. product has 16 points (1G, 15A) in 51 games this season. Lundmark picked up a helper as well to push his total to 16 points (2G, 14A) in 57 games.
Feelin’ Fine at Fifty
Forward Alex Limoges notched two goals on Friday for his fourth multi-goal outing of the campaign. The tallies raised Limoges’ total to 50 points (19G, 31A) in 55 games this season. It’s the first time reaching the milestone for the Winchester, Vir. native. Limoges is the first Moose player to reach 50 points in a season since Seth Griffith (57) and Logan Shaw (51) both cleared the mark during the 2018-19 season. Limoges’ second goal on Friday was his seventh power play goal of the campaign, tying him with Leon Gawanke for second on the team.
20/20
Jansen Harkins’ breakaway goal in the second period of Friday’s contest was the forward’s 20th of the campaign. With the goal, the North Vancouver, B.C. product is the first player on Manitoba to record both 20 goals and 20 assists on the season. Harkins is now tied with Jeff Malott for the team-lead. It’s the first season the Moose have had multiple 20-goal scorers since the 2017-18 campaign when Buddy Robinson (25), Mason Appleton (22) and Patrice Cormier (22) each passed the sign-post.

Dominic Toninato notched a pair of assists in Sunday’s home victory. The forward has now reached the double-digit assist mark for the second time in his professional career.
