Kristian Reichel Inks Two-Year Extension

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with forward Kristian Reichel on a two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $775,000.

Reichel, 23, made his NHL debut for the Jets on Dec. 19/21 against the St. Louis Blues. He played in his second game on Jan. 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights and scored his first NHL goal. Reichel has played 13 games for Winnipeg this season and recorded two points (1G, 1A) and seven penalty minutes. The Litvinov, Czechia native has also skated in 26 games for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose and has 12 points (5G, 7A) and 12 PIMs.

Reichel is in his fourth season in the Jets organization and he has played 149 games for the Moose and totaled 51 points (25G, 26A) and 52 PIMs. Internationally, he represented Czechia at two World Junior Championships and helped them to a fourth-place finish in 2018. His father Robert played 830 NHL games over 11 seasons and recorded 630 points (252G, 378A) and also helped the Czechs to their first Olympic gold medal in 1998.
