Jets Recall Jeffrey Viel

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team recalled forward Jeffrey Viel from the Manitoba Moose.
Viel, 26, has nine points (4G, 5A) in 24 games this season with Manitoba. The Rimouski, Que. product exploded for four points (2G, 2A) on Dec. 17 as part of a 6-4 Moose win over Milwaukee. Viel also leads the Moose with 70 penalty minutes on the campaign. The winger has appeared in 236 career AHL games split between Manitoba and San Jose while recording 102 points (49G, 53A). Viel also has five points (3G, 2AA) in 49 NHL games, all with the San Jose Sharks.
The Moose are set to close out 2023 this afternoon against the Texas Stars. Puck drop for the New Year's Eve game is slated for 4 p.m. featuring a post-game fireworks show. Tickets are available at MooseHockey.com/TICKETS.
