Jets Recall Four from Moose

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team recalled forward Kristian Reichel from the Moose. The Jets also recalled defencemen Declan Chisholm, Johnathan Kovacevic and Ville Heinola from the Moose.

Reichel, 23, has 12 points (5G, 7A) in 26 games with the Moose this season. The Litvinov, Czech Republic native is in his fourth season of professional hockey in North America, recording 51 points (25G, 26A) in 149 AHL games. Reichel made his NHL debut with the Jets on Dec. 19/21 where he played 4:27. His first NHL goal was scored on Jan. 2/22 against the Vegas Golden Knights in a 5-4 overtime win. Reichel is the son of long-time NHL’er, Robert Reichel, and the cousin of Chicago Blackhawks first round pick, Lukas Reichel.

Chisholm, 22, has 16 points (6G, 10A) in 31 games with the Moose this campaign. The Bowmanville, Ont. product made his NHL debut with the Jets on Jan. 13, tallying four shots on goal in 13:44 of ice time. Chisholm has 29 points (8G, 21A) in 59 career AHL contests. He was a fifth round pick, 150th overall, of the Jets in the 2018 NHL Draft.

Kovacevic, 24, has 14 points (7G, 7A) in 33 games with the Moose this season. The Grimsby, Ont. product has appeared in 108 AHL games with Manitoba and recorded 42 points (14G, 28A) in those contests. Kovacevic’s seven goals on the season are currently tied for second among AHL defencemen. The blueliner was a third round selection, 74thth overall, of the Jets in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Heinola, 20, has 16 points (2G, 14A) in 25 AHL games this season. The Honkajoki, Fin. product has 28 points (6G, 22A) in 47 career AHL games. In 17 NHL games, the defender has five points (1G, 4A). Heinola was the Jets first round pick, 20th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft.
