Viel Returns to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets announced today that forward Jeffrey Viel has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose.

Viel, 26, has nine points (4G, 5A) in 24 games this season with Manitoba. The Rimouski, Que. product exploded for four points (2G, 2A) on Dec. 17 as part of a 6-4 Moose win over Milwaukee. Viel also leads the Moose with 70 penalty minutes on the campaign. The winger has appeared in 236 career AHL games split between Manitoba and San Jose while recording 102 points (49G, 53A). Viel also has five points (3G, 2AA) in 49 NHL games, all with the San Jose Sharks.

The Moose tangle with the Belleville Senators at Canada Life Centre on Saturday, Jan. 6. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. It's the first of two games on Minor Hockey Weekend. Tickets to all upcoming Moose home games are available at MooseHockey.com/TICKETS.
