Jets Sign Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with goaltender Philippe Desrosiers on a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $750,000.

Desrosiers, 26, has played four games for the Manitoba Moose this season and is 2-1-0 with a 2.54 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. The Saint-Hyacinthe, Que. native has also played 27 games for the ECHL’s Trois-Rivieres Lions and has a record of 15-11-0 with one shutout, a 3.38 GAA and a .892 SV%.

Desrosiers, a 2013 second-round-pick (54th overall) by the Dallas Stars, played four seasons for the Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL before turning pro in 2015. He has split his seven pro seasons between three AHL and three ECHL clubs, but also spent the entire 2020-21 campaign on the Florida Panthers taxi squad.
