Jets Assign Four to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team reassigned defenceman Ashton Sautner, along with forwards Jeff Malott, Brad Lambert and Dominic Toninato to the Manitoba Moose.
Sautner, 29, posted 12 points (2G, 10A) over the course of 68 games through the 2022-23 season with Manitoba. In addition, Sautner also suited up in five playoff games. The Flin Flon, Man. product has played in 351 career AHL contests and has registered 74 points (16G, 58A).
Malott, 27, recorded 44 points (23G, 21A) in 71 games with the Moose this past season. The winger's 23 goals placed him second among Moose skaters over the campaign. Malott also suited up in five playoff contests and tallied one goal. The Waterdown, Ont. product has notched 105 points (60G, 45A) in 167 career AHL contests, all with Manitoba.
Lambert, 19, was a first round selection, 30th overall, of the Jets in the 2022 NHL Draft. The forward registered three points (2G, 1A) in 14 games with the Moose in 2022-23. The winger also notched 38 points (17G, 21A) in 26 games with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds. The forward posted a further 26 points (6G, 20A) in 17 playoff contests on the way to winning the WHL Championship. Lambert added three points (1G, 2A) over the span of five Memorial Cup contests.
Toninato, 29, recorded 35 points (19G, 16A) in 50 games with Manitoba this past season. The forward also appeared in five playoff contests and tallied two assists. Toninato played in five games for the Jets and recorded one assist during the 2022-23 campaign. The Duluth, Minn. product has suited up in 158 career AHL contests and recorded 88 points (48G, 40A) in that span.
Today’s transactions bring the current Moose roster to 33 players.
